- Built from Deluxeware’s original “Structure Knit” jersey, an in-house developed fabric designed to combine stability, durability and everyday comfort. Its distinctive knitted construction gives the fabric a character quite different from standard jersey or loopwheel fabrics.
The 8.5oz Structure Knit is produced on a rare 1950s vintage knitting machine operated by a single manufacturer in Japan. By alternating 16-count air-spun Z-twisted yarn with finer 20-count S-twisted yarn, Deluxeware creates an SZ jersey structure with excellent dimensional stability and minimal skewing. The result is a firmer, more balanced fabric that retains its shape well through repeated wear and washing.
The T-shirt is finished with a triple-stitched binder neck and carefully shaped armholes, providing both durability and natural ease of movement. Substantial without feeling overly heavy, it is a dependable everyday T-shirt that highlights Deluxeware’s technical approach to fabric development and construction.
Note: About Z-twist and S-twist yarn
Z and S refer to the direction in which the yarn is twisted.
For an easy reference, it’s similar to denim:
Left-hand twill corresponds to Z-twist, while right-hand twill corresponds to S-twist. Alternating these twists helps stabilize the fabric and reduce distortion.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit. For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
