Hemming Service
For online purchases, we offer a hem-up service for jeans and other trousers. All denim hemming is done using Union Special 43200G, the vintage machine trusted by classic denim makers.
If you’d like to have your jeans hemmed, simply fill out the message box at checkout, tell us the inseam length you prefer, and confirm that you’re happy for us to alter the jeans — we’ll take care of the rest. Please kindly allow an additional 2–3 business days for hemming before shipment.
About Hemming Raw ( Unwashed ) Jeans
If you wish to hem jeans that are still in raw condition, please note the following:
- Unsanforized denim ( not pre-shrunk ) will shrink around 5–10%, depending on the fabric density.
- Sanforized denim will shrink much less, usually less than 3%.
In this case, please tell us the inseam length you want after washing, and we’ll calculate the shrinkage and perform the hemming while the jeans are still raw. Please understand there may be a small margin of difference due to the nature of shrinkage.
We also ask for your understanding that no return or refund can be accepted for any altered or personalised items, including raw denim hemming.
