- Based on the classic button-down shirt, UES rebuilds the familiar design in its original selvedge Oxford cloth, giving it a more casual and substantial feel while keeping the clean character of a traditional B.D. shirt.
The 8.6 oz cotton Oxford is woven from uneven slub yarns, giving the surface a noticeably irregular texture. Compared with smoother conventional Oxford cloth, the yarn adds more depth and a slightly rugged feel. Supplied One-Wash, the fabric starts firm but settled and will gradually soften with continued wear.
Details stay close to traditional shirting, with a split back yoke, small hang loop and natural shell buttons. The split yoke allows each side to be shaped separately to sit more naturally across the shoulders, while the hang loop offers a simple way to hang the shirt without a hanger. A slim fit keeps the overall shape tidy without making it feel too formal.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
