- Built around a work-inspired design, the SSS25-SKSW brings a new character to the classic striped shirt through Samurai Jeans’ original indigo sashiko fabric. The clean shape keeps it easy to wear, while the textured stripe pattern gives the shirt a stronger and more distinctive presence.
To create this special fabric, the yarns are hand-dyed in two different shades of indigo before being woven into the sashiko stripe pattern. The subtle difference between the colours gives the stripes greater depth and natural variation. As the indigo gradually fades over time, the texture of the sashiko will become more visible, giving each stripe a more individual look.
Finished with rounded chest pockets, the shirt uses navy cotton twill inside the collar and along the inner front placket for contrast and reinforcement. Custom indigo-dyed nut buttons engraved with the Samurai name add another special touch, while triple-stitched Flat-Felled Seam construction provides the strength expected from a traditional work shirt. Together, these details complete a distinctive piece that will only become richer and more personal with time.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit. For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
