- The Samurai Jeans SJST-ML Crew Neck T-Shirt is one of the brand’s true long-standing classics, remaining in continuous production in Japan for around 20 years. Rather than following seasonal changes, it has earned its place through dependable fabric and the kind of everyday comfort that keeps people returning to the same model year after year.
The fabric is knitted from high-quality 14-count single cotton yarn using a vintage circular knitting machine known as a “Daimaru.” By slowly knitting a relatively thick single yarn, Samurai creates a high-density jersey with a firm, substantial feel, balanced by natural softness and flexibility. The surface also carries a slightly uneven texture that gives the fabric greater depth and character.
The body is made using tubular construction, while a triple-stitched binder reinforces the neckline and helps the collar retain its shape through repeated wear and washing. Brown and Ankoh Red are newly introduced colours for 2026. Ankoh Red takes its inspiration from anko, the traditional Japanese sweet red bean paste, bringing a subtle sense of Japanese tradition to this long-running Samurai classic.
