- A classic Samurai work shirt, known for its rope-dyed indigo flannel, returns this time in an indigo and pink check with a well-balanced colour tone. The combination keeps the shirt grounded in Samurai’s workwear character while giving the check a softer, more distinctive look.
Built from Samurai’s signature 12oz cotton flannel, the fabric uses rope-dyed indigo yarns similar to those found in denim, paired with specially reactive-dyed coloured yarns. The indigo yarns retain a white core, while the coloured yarns are also designed to fade, allowing the entire check pattern to develop and soften beautifully with wear.
Thoughtful details run throughout the shirt, including triple-needle chain stitching, Samurai-stamped indigo-dyed nut buttons and reinforced elbows. The combination of substantial flannel, distinctive colour and strong construction shows why Samurai’s flannel shirts remain a category worth keeping an eye on.

- The “W” at the end of the lot number indicates Samurai’s roomier Western cut, with more space through the chest and body than the standard Japanese fit.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit. For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
