- A deep blue with a darker side, Pure Blue Japan’s Oceanic Denim takes its name from the colour of the deep sea. The OCE-002 brings that rich shade to PBJ’s widest fit, with a higher rise, roomy thighs and a clean straight leg. The proportions remain balanced, giving the jeans a relaxed feel without looking overly wide.
Woven on old shuttle looms, the 14oz denim combines warp yarns dyed with indigo and sulphur dyes with a black weft. The darker construction gives the fabric a deeper blue tone, while the uneven surface retains the rough texture the brand is known for. With wear and washing, the colour develops with a darker cast and stronger contrast across the surface.
Custom iron buttons, hidden rivets and a black lambskin patch complete the jeans, while tonal stitching and dark Shoai leaf embroidery keep the finish understated. The special warp-and-weft combination gives the OCE denim its own character, both when new and as the colour changes over time.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit. For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
