- At first glance, the deep indigo gives the shirt a quiet, understated appearance. Look closer and a flowing Arabesque pattern becomes more visible as the fabric catches the light. A regular fit and a single chest pocket keep the design clean, with the jacquard texture giving the shirt its character.
Built from approximately 7oz cotton fabric, the pattern is woven directly into the cloth on a jacquard loom. Indigo-dyed yarns create the rich blue colour, while the different weave structures add subtle depth across the surface. Depending on the angle and light, the pattern shifts between barely visible and beautifully defined, gradually becoming more visible with wear and washing over time.
Shell buttons, side gussets with chain-stitch run-off and Pure Blue Japan’s Shoai leaf embroidery complete the shirt. The gently curved hem works naturally worn on its own or over a T-shirt, making it an easy piece to wear across a wide range of seasons.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
