The fabric is a double-woven sashiko textile that combines a solid feel with surprising softness, resulting in a jacket that feels structured yet comfortable to wear. The warp yarns are rope-dyed with indigo, just like classic denim, leaving the yarn core white that allows the fabric to develop beautiful fading and depth of character with wear.
Based on the classic Type 1 design, the jacket features a T-back panel construction and an updated fit. Additional waist pockets enhance practicality while keeping the authentic vintage look, creating a piece that balances heritage design with everyday functionality.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
