- Sidegore boots, also widely known as Chelsea boots, trace their origins back to 19th-century England, where elastic side panels were introduced to create a slip-on boot that was both practical and elegant. The style later became widely popular in the 1960s along London’s King’s Road, becoming a symbol of modern British style. This model carries that heritage forward with a clean, refined silhouette that balances elegance and everyday functionality.
The leather is full vegetable-tanned Italian horsebutt supplied by Maryam tannery, a respected Italian tannery known for producing high-quality vegetable-tanned leathers. The dense fiber structure and natural grain variation unique to horsebutt give each pair a distinctive look. Using crust leather as the base, Moto craftsmen hand-dye each pair individually, allowing the color to fade with wear and gradually reveal the characteristic brown tea-core beneath.
The midsole uses Italian oak-bark-tanned bends leather, providing strength, structural support, and excellent flexibility for long-term comfort. Built with Goodyear welt construction, the boots feel relatively comfortable from the start and gradually conform to the shape of the foot. With their formal roots, they pair naturally with tailored looks such as suits or office casual, while also working effortlessly with denim for everyday wear.

- Remove surface dust with a soft horsehair brush after each wear.
- For light dirt, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and allow the leather to air dry naturally.
- Avoid excessive water, as horsebutt leather is dense but can stiffen if over-wet.
- Italian horsebutt is a firm, vegetable-tanned leather with natural oils, so conditioning should be minimal.
- Apply a small amount of neutral leather cream only when the leather feels dry or begins to lose flexibility.
- Work the product lightly into the surface with a cloth, allowing it to absorb gradually without over-saturating.
- Horsebutt leather develops character over time, with creasing and surface marks forming naturally.
- Light scratches can often be reduced by brushing or gently rubbing the area.
- Deeper marks may remain as part of the leather’s aging, but can be softened slightly with a small amount of cream.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat, which can dry the leather and cause hardening.
