- A classic henley-neck shirt from Freewheelers’ Power Wear label, inspired by American underwear from the 1920s. Originally developed as a base layer, the design is rebuilt with a substantial fabric and carefully considered vintage details, allowing it to be worn comfortably on its own or layered beneath a jacket.
Built from Freewheelers’ vintage-style heavyweight jersey, the fabric is knitted using a plating technique to create a firm, slightly coarse, and dry hand feel, with a naturally uneven surface. With continued wear and washing, it will gradually soften and develop a more relaxed character.
The narrow ribbed neckline is paired with a long four-button front placket, reinforced with rayon satin tape for added structure. A Power Wear woven label is positioned neatly at the base of the placket, while the back neckline is internally reinforced with an additional panel. Ribbed cuffs complete the design, bringing together the thoughtful construction and subtle vintage character that give the piece its distinctive feel.
