- Designed from original knitwear of the 1920s, this piece reflects an era when garments were made for warmth, durability, and everyday practicality.
The tall turtleneck and half-zip front reflect classic functional design, offering protection from the cold with adjustable comfort. The clean, balanced silhouette works well on its own or as a layering piece.
The fabric uses a plating knit jersey construction, combining a wool-blend base yarn with a cotton plating yarn. This structure places the cotton yarn on the inside for a softer, more comfortable feel against the skin, while the wool remains on the outside to provide warmth—a thoughtful detail often seen in vintage knitwear.
After knitting, the fabric is finished with a fulling (shrink) process, tightening the knit structure and increasing density. This improves heat retention and durability while maintaining a stable, comfortable feel.
The sweater features a raglan sleeve construction with ribbed panels running along the shoulder line, allowing smoother arm movement and reducing tension at the seams.
This functional detail is rooted in vintage athletic and workwear design, improving comfort while adding a subtle visual accent.
