- The Garrison Belt takes its name from the belts traditionally worn by soldiers stationed at military bases. During the mid-20th century, these belts were commonly worn over uniforms to support equipment, becoming a practical and iconic piece of military gear. Characterized by its wide strap, thick leather, and square buckle, the Garrison Belt has since become a timeless piece in heritage and workwear style.
Introduced as a basic yet popular item in the Inception belt series, it is made from Japanese Bends leather, cut from the thickest back section of the cowhide. The belt is fully vegetable-tanned using a traditional pit tanning process, resulting in a tighter fiber structure and firmer leather. Over time, the leather gradually develops a deeper tone and natural luster, creating beautiful aging unique to each piece.
After cutting, the edges are hand-beveled with a traditional plane, and the finishing process is completed by hand-polishing with glass tools to achieve a smooth surface. The belt is fitted with a nickel-plated brass sand-cast buckle, and each piece may show slight variations in shape and texture. Combined with the natural texture of the leather, these subtle differences make every belt slightly unique — one of the true charms of a handcrafted leather piece.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
