- A simple yet classic button-down shirt that represents the philosophy of Wasew. The design brings together a sense of nostalgia and modern refinement, allowing the shirt to pair naturally with a wide range of styles and outfits.
The 100% cotton fabric, developed exclusively for Wasew, is woven in Bishu ( Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture ) — a region internationally known for its wool textile industry. The fabric is produced using a vintage Schönherr loom, a machine normally used for weaving wool fabrics.Woven at a very slow speed, the low tension applied to the warp yarns creates exceptional softness and a natural texture. This method produces a fabric character quite different from ordinary Oxford cloth.
Rather than being sewn in Wasew’s own atelier, the shirt is carefully constructed in a specialized shirt factory, resulting in a clean and refined finish.The collar and cuffs use non-fusible interlining, preserving the natural softness of the fabric while maintaining excellent shape retention. The curved collar points when buttoned, together with the narrow flat-felled side seams and fine stitch density, reflect the shirt’s thoughtful construction and balanced design.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
