- A lightweight flight jacket inspired by the CWU-7/P, a lesser-known USAF jacket originally issued to ground crew and aircraft mechanics from the mid-1960s through the mid-1970s. Wasew reworks the original military design with a cleaner and more refined appearance, making it easy to wear as an everyday jacket.
Made from a 70% cotton and 30% Cordura nylon blend, the fabric is lightweight yet durable with a smooth and slightly crisp surface. The balanced weight makes it especially suitable for late summer, autumn and spring, while the nylon content also helps the fabric dry more quickly and adds extra durability for daily wear.
While keeping a clean and refined appearance, the jacket retains practical military details including functional pockets and a military-style Waldes metal zipper. The stitching is sewn with a fine stitch pitch throughout in Wasew’s small workshop, reflecting the brand’s careful approach to construction and adding depth and character to the jacket without making it feel overly rugged.
