- The AI + Sakura Series is the latest project launched by Samurai Jeans, exploring a new expression of color through natural materials.
The warp yarns use the same hard-twisted slubby yarns found in Samurai’s signature AI+ denim and are dyed with a blend of synthetic indigo and natural indigo, creating deep, rich blue tones with depth and character. For the weft, Samurai developed an original slub yarn blended with Samurai Cotton, then dyed using a special dye extracted from cherry blossoms (Sakura).
The result is a fabric where the depth of indigo is gently balanced by a soft, pink-beige sakura tone appearing from within. This subtle contrast creates a beautifully layered expression — calm, refined, and uniquely tied to this series.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
