- Murasame literally means “village rain.” It refers to a sudden rainstorm that appears without warning, fades briefly, then returns again.
The 17oz Murasame Selvedge Denim is newly developed exclusively for this model. The deep, dark tone of the fabric recalls stormy skies, while slubby white and blue highlights appear and disappear across the surface, much like rain passing through changing weather. The strong, uneven texture plays a key role in expressing the character of Murasame.
The blackish indigo tone is created by combining indigo with additional dyes, giving the fabric depth rather than a flat color. Thanks to the special slubby fabric, the denim develops a high-contrast vertical fade over time, offering an aging process meant to be enjoyed.
