The upper is made from thick steerhide sourced from Toronto, finished as sand-beige nubuck. Steerhide comes from fully grown cattle, making it firm, durable, and well suited for boots. Nubuck leather is created by lightly sanding the grain surface of cowhide, resulting in a soft, brushed texture with a warm, natural look. The leather is tanned using a combination of chrome and vegetable tanning, balancing flexibility, strength, and a natural hand feel.
The midsole uses oil bends leather, which gradually molds to the foot for improved comfort with wear. Paired with Biltbuck’s original separate sole, the boot offers reliable grip and long-lasting durability. Built on the A008 Freeman last, it features a clean arch curve and slightly more toe room than the Lot.444, resulting in a stable and easy-to-wear fit.
