- The Samurai S510HXII is a new model developed as an update to the S510HX, carrying over its core character while introducing a newly developed fabric.
The fabric is a 15.8oz selvedge denim, slowly woven on a vintage Toyota GL3 shuttle loom. Known for its dense structure, dry hand, and strong vertical texture, the GL3 fabric already has a distinct presence. By using Samurai Cotton in the weft, the denim gains more weight and a natural nep–slubby texture, setting it apart from the previous 15oz Otokogi denim. The result is a fabric with depth and contrast, with the potential for sharp vertical fading over time.
While the fabric is newly developed, the overall construction and silhouette remain classic. Details such as custom Samurai iron buttons, custom brass hidden rivets, and a leather patch based on early Samurai designs keep the model grounded in tradition. The stitching is carried out entirely with cotton thread, with careful attention to thread count, color, stitch pitch, and spacing, all aimed at recreating the atmosphere of vintage jeans with precision.

Shoulder Width
- Measure straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam on the back.
Chest Width
- Measure straight across the front of the garment, from armpit to armpit.For size chart reference, chest measurement is shown as full circumference ( flat measurement x 2 ).
Waist Width
- Measure across the narrowest part of the shirt — from seam to seam — between the chest and the hem.
Hem Width
- Measure straight across the bottom edge of the shirt, from one side seam to the other — just above the curved hem.
Sleeve Length (Set-In)
- Measure from the top of the shoulder seam straight to the end of the cuff.
Sleeve Length (Raglan)
- Measure from seam of collar all the way down to the end of the cuff.
Armhole
- Measure vertically from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the armhole seam.
Body Length
- Measure from the center of the base of the collar (just below the collar band) straight down to the bottom hem.
